Easy Ways to Use AI to Land Your Dream Job Faster
Jan 7, 2025
With the rapid rise of AI, the world is changing—you can get laid off or hired because of AI. So learning to use AI to get a job is crucial in today’s job market.
1. Platform: Find Leads
When I say AI, I don’t mean just ChatGPT; there are other various platforms based on AI that are built for a specific purpose. Among these, there are tools that can help you find jobs, specifically platforms that find job opportunities and employers (leads) by scraping LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, and various other sources.
For that you can use Sniff
It is highly convenient because you don’t have to waste time on job-seeking websites; the AI platforms show you who is looking for freelance employees. Some of the platforms provide you with email addresses and other contact information so you can reach out.
So, to find job opportunities, use platforms to filter out spam jobs, and create a list of potential employers/leads.
2. Use ChatGPT for Resume
Yes, you can definitely ask ChatGPT to create a cover letter and resume for you. Resume and cover letter remain the same, even if you’re a freelancer or looking for a full-time job.
Tips for using ChatGPT: I’ll not go into details about the information you should provide to AI, only give a few tips:
Give as much information about yourself as possible.
Make sure that your resume and cover letter are concise and appropriate.
Edit the content that AI provides according to your style and preferences. It’s important that it reflected your skills, achievements, and experience accurately.
Not only ChatGPT, but also, there are thousands of other AI tools that are built for a specific purpose. Some of them are specially designed for creating resumes and letters, and they have templates.
3. Cold Outreach with ChatGPT
Once you’ve built your lead list, you need to contact them. Before AI, writing an email was such a boring thing to do. Now you can ask AI to create cold emails for you.
However, you need to learn how to effectively use AI.

4 & 5. Learn Prompts & Use AI Tools
You need to learn to command, or give prompts to AI tools.
A prompt is basically a request that you provide to an AI tool (for example, ChatGPT) in order to get a response. So, if, for example, you write “Create a resume for me”, this is an example of a prompt request.
If you give the prompt request: “My name is X Y, I’ve over 5 years of experience in reviewing movies, and I want to apply to Thomas Ruff studio to work as an assistant. Create a resume for me.”, you’ll get a comprehensive resume.
Once you get a comprehensive resume, you’ll need to edit the resume with a human touch. You can ask AI to correct grammar mistakes or proofread it; however, it may not catch the tone and voice of the language.
Human languages often involve nuances and contexts that can prove difficult for AI to understand fully. In this regard, the AI will generate phrases and language that demands fine-tuning. So, you also need to learn some basics about editing.
Please note, if you don’t know grammar very well, AI tools can be problematic because they may create grammatically incorrect sentences.
Many people still fail to use ChatGPT or similar AI-based tools effectively because they don’t learn how to use them. AI works based on prompts: what you ask it to do! So, the more you practice writing prompts, the more you become familiar with.
