Who We Are
Sniff is a social search engine that helps founders, startups, and brands spot conversations as they happen — and turn them into growth opportunities.
The Challenge
Like every early-stage startup, we needed to grow awareness, build trust, and engage with the right people — fast. Traditional outreach or cold DMs felt slow and noisy. We wanted to:
Grow the founder’s personal brand
Help people in real time on LinkedIn, Reddit, and X
Save time by cutting through the noise and finding only relevant conversations
Convert people already seeking help with growth into potential clients
The Solution
We turned Sniff inward and built workflows for ourselves:
Conversation Discovery → Sniff surfaced founders and creators looking for help with brand awareness, scaling accounts, or seeking startup/marketing advice. These became natural client opportunities.
Agent Support → Our own Sniff agents, trained on the founder’s voice, suggested authentic responses on Reddit, LinkedIn, and X — scaling engagement without losing personality.
Community Service → We launched a new service: anyone can publicly mention @Sniff on LinkedIn or @heySniff on X to ask for marketing help. Sniff spots the mention instantly and responds with actionable insights.
This turned Sniff into more than a tool — it became a live growth assistant, visible and accessible to everyone.
Why It Worked
We weren’t guessing where to show up — Sniff placed us directly inside relevant discussions.
By offering free, public help, we built trust and visibility instead of spamming people.
Mentions on LinkedIn and X acted as viral touchpoints: each question answered also exposed Sniff to the asker’s network.
The Results
Founder’s accounts grew consistently on LinkedIn + X through targeted visibility.
Inbound leads came from people we helped directly in conversations.
Sniff as a brand gained credibility by being seen in action, not just advertised.
Clients discovered us by first asking for advice — then realizing Sniff could be their ongoing growth engine.
What’s Next
We’re doubling down on making Sniff part of daily online life:
Scaling the @Sniff / @heySniff mention service to become the go-to marketing helper on social.
Training more agents on specific growth areas (B2B SaaS, personal branding, community-led growth).
Using insights from these interactions to refine Sniff’s product roadmap and expand into new verticals.
